For our upcoming Disney trip, we spending all of our DVC points to stay for a week on property. Our whole trip is for a week and a half. Our original plan had to be adjusted so we were scrambling to find a place to stay for the first half week.
We have a little bit of a complicated situation. While many people travelling with children can stay in one room, I have never been able to do that. I need a separate room so I can put the kids to bed and then relax with N. This requires us to book hotel suites.
Two weeks ago, when we realized that our plans had to be adjusted, we started looking for a hotel suite. Sadly, most hotels were already booked and the only remaining rooms were quite expensive. So N and I started looking for alternative options.
We found VRBO, or Vacation Rentals by Owner, a service quite similar to Airbnb. We found a very nice two bedroom condo for rent. After a little back and forth with the owner, we have booked the condo for our stay. We are very excited to stay there and look forward to rating the service fully.
Our initial impression of the service is middling. There was some confusion with the payment and the owner contact method through the site is a bit odd. However, the location looks to be excellent and is highly rated. So we hope to have a great stay!
That is so funny that you just commented on VRBO. Just yesterday I was on their site and two others looking for a place to stay in Hawaii for our upcoming (not sure when) vacation.
That is funny! Let me know if you have any questions about it.
