On our last trip to Disney in August, N and saw and fell in love with a gorgeous, fun, fall themed Mickey decoration that was up all around the castle in the Magic Kingdom.
We asked at the stores and sadly they sell nothing of the kind at WDW. But then I was on one of my Facebook groups and someone posted an adorable Mickey wreath that they made. I was hugely inspired. So much so that even though I am not crafty at all, I decided to make three of them. One big and two small.
So I headed to my local craft store, Michaels, to grab supplies. I got 3 different sizes of wreaths. A big round and two small rounds for us, and a small round and two tiny rounds for the smaller two Mickeys.
Then I headed to the fall aisle and grabbed some cool fall foliage to decorate with. On the display was a handy how to make a wreath sign.
Next I grabbed some twine and I was good to go.
I started by making a basic Mickey with the rounds using twine to hold them together.
Then I decorated it.
Then I made the small ones.
As you can see, the little ones came out much better than the big one. I put the ears too close on the big one. But they were all fun to make and I am so proud of myself for stretching beyond my comfort zone and trying something new!
