Photographs From The Edge is a great book by Art Wolfe and Rob Sheppard. It features the photography of Art Wolfe who is a well known and renowned photographer. Rob Sheppard is another photographer who evaluates the artistry of the photographs throughout the book.
Each photo is displayed with a short anecdote about it, such as how or when it was taken and what makes it such a good photo. Under each image are two paragraphs by Rob Sheppard: The nature of the photo – this describes what Rob views as the special feature that makes the photo special, the other section is a Photo tip – this gives some practical advise for those who want to improve their photographic skills.
The photographs in the book are magnificent. They range from the 1980s to the recent 2000s. The subjects range from nature to wildlife and more. It is a really beautiful spread of the photographs of Art Wolfe and gives great insight into his skill and expertise. As an amateur photographer seeing these images and reading the evaluations and anecdotes as well as the tips are really fascinating. I thought this was quite a good book and was very happy with it.
I received this book from the Blogging for Books program in exchange for this review.
