I needed to see an orthopedist so I got a referral from my doctor. I am always uncomfortable going to see a new doctor because I don’t know anything about the doctor. So I searched the doctor on google.

I was very pleased to discover that not only can I find the doctor’s full name, office address and phone number. But I also found the gender of the doctor, a picture, what school he attended, how long he has been practicing medicine, and even an option to virtually schedule an appointment. Even more, patients rate the doctor on the site so that I now know that 95 percent of the patients that voted, really love the doctor. I now feel much more comfortable about going to this new doctor.

Wow! Now that is an amazing use web 2.0 tools.
