On Thursday morning, we headed to Disney Springs. A friend of ours highly recommended The Void and we were really excited to check it out.

The Void is a fully immersive, virtual and augmented reality experience. They have several different experiences but the one in Disney Springs is Star Wars Secrets of the Empire. We were so excited for it!

After entering the building and signing waivers, you are briefed with the mission details, which is to embark on a secret mission into an empire base while disguised as stormtroopers. Then you choose a color to identify yourself while you in disguise. After that you are suited up with a haptic vest so you can feel a slight buzz if you get shot, and a VR helmet.

Once you are suited up you enter a small room, put down your visor, and your adventure begins. I’m not going to give you too much information, I don’t want to spoil it for you. But I will say that in reality your adventure takes you through a set of rooms similar to a labyrinth. While in the VR, you trade on ships, infiltrate a base, get blasters and shoot your way through certain areas. It is an amazing experience, I highly recommend it!!
