One of the perks of being a DVC Member is access to the Top of the World Lounge. The Top of the World Lounge is an great little spot above the DVC portion of the Contemporary Resort, called Bay Lake Tower. It is a quick 5 minute walk from the Magic Kingdom. There is a marked walking path to lead the way.

On Monday evening, we headed down the path and after 5 minutes arrived at The Contemporary. Bay Lake Towers is right next door, so we headed in. A kindly security guard checked our DVC Membership cards and then led us through the magnificent lobby to the special elevator that goes directly to the top floor.

We headed up to find The Top of The World Lounge. True to it’s name, it is all the way at the top of Bay Lake Towers and looks out over the Magic Kingdom. The view was spectacular!

After hanging out at the lounge for an hour and enjoying a few drinks, we headed outside for the Wishes fireworks show. They had the music playing at the lounge so we were able to see and hear it all. It was really something special.

No crowds, no lines, just front row viewing of the display. When it was over, we headed downstairs, hopped in the car and drove back to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. In future, this is definitely the way to see Wishes!
