I have been wondering for a while why I was only seeing posts from about 2/3 of my Web 2.0 class. So I searched the sites of the classmates whose posts I was not seeing. And I noticed something interesting.

RSS is extremely convenient, and I love not having to check the site every day, RSS means that the new posts are sent directly to my email.

While looking at the actual blogs I saw that while using RSS, I have been missing out on the looks of the blogs, which add a lot! Reading a long blog entry on a white background in my email reader, is sometimes hard. Reading the same entry on a blog page with color, pictures, etc. is so much better. There are also other things like widgets that do not come through an RSS.
